Do NOT conform to the pattern of this world

Are we seeing a growing trend of irreverence and a lack of intimacy towards God in the church these days? Is the true word of God succumbing to the flashy lights, modern visual effects and the vile attempt to mimic the world? Are we inviting the world into the house of God and masking it with tolerance towards sin and a skewed interpretation of what it takes to reach a younger generation? Is the love for oneself becoming so prevalent, that in fact it’s becoming the “scales over our eyes” keeping believers from seeing the reality of this satanically driven worldly deception?
How much easier would it be then, to fall victim to the coming apostasy spoken of in the bible regarding the last days?

We read in 2 Timothy 3: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.”
Are we slowly and subtlety witnessing this spirit of apostasy creeping into the sacred altar of God and subsequently into our deceived hearts? No..?
The bible tells us that the true church of God, specifically in the last days, will be a suffering church, one full of sorrow for the lost souls, for what pains The Lord and grieves the Spirit. It will be one that will be persecuted and hated by this satan influenced world. Do those terms describe your church or at the very least your perception of what’s to come?
Are the pastors and church leaders of today growing in acceptance of the things that are of this world and thus subsequently creating a snare for the weaker-in-spirit Christians, whose level of discernment is incapable of “flagging” this growing pandemic.
Be not deceived fellow Christian!
Jesus Christ our Lord is returning for a spotless bride that has not given way to sinful immorality. A bride that has abstained from worldly pleasures or indulged in the worldly filth that corrupts the soul.

Simple Christianity is a deception, a myth, it’s not meant to be easy! We are all called to pick up our cross daily as our Lord did. This involves suffering, sacrifice and in many cases persecution. The comforts and freedoms we have taken for granted living in this nation has watered down true Christianity. That which we see happening worldwide involving the persecution of believers in no way resembles the luxurious lives many of us live in comparison. The abusive, violent and life-threatening conditions Christians endure abroad are a true definition of a persecuted Christian the bible refers to in 2 Timothy 3:12 – “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” Or in 1 Peter 4:12-14 – “Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.”

This is just something to deeply ponder in. Fellow Christian; a not so distant day is coming when your faith will be tried and your commitment to our Lord Jesus will be tested. A lukewarm relationship with Christ will not sustain the coming persecution that will be brought upon the true church of God.
“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”
Luke 21:36
